This is a very simplified version of how the population growth is affected, but you should gain insight into the biggest factor that influences how quickly a population will grow Families: Darwins - Females in this family search and search for the perfect mate and generally marry and reproduce late in life. They take advantage of reproductive technologies that improve fertility so even though they don't start reproducing until age 40 they have 4 children each.
