2. As we move up to higher altitudes, the air pressure reduces. The amount of oxygen in the air remains same. Beacause of lower air pressure, air is thinner and contain less gases in a given volume. Every time we breathe, the air going in will contain less oxygen molecules. This makes us breathe faster and deeper to get enough oxygen. This leads to shortness of breath or breathlessness, dizziness, tiredness etc.
