question 2 and 3

2. In the field of medicine, the development of germ theory revolutionized the way doctors cared for their patients. Briefly diseuss how illness was described before germ theory what germ theory is and why it was so different from the previous views. Cite at least 2 people who contributed to the field of medieine or germ theory from the 19th century on and what those contributions were. We say medicine became "industrialized" during the 2oh century. Discuss the meaning of this and give an example of one industrialized medicine that came out of the 20h century. Is industrialization good or bad? During the 19h and 2o'h centuries physies and chemistry began exploring the atom in more depth. and nuclear physics. Describe each of their contributions and how it changed the picture of the atom. How was their research used in the development of nuclear physics? Is nuelear physics a positive or negative development? 3. Discuss at least three contributors to our current knowledge of the atom 4. Summarize the current scientific understanding of the history of how the Earth formed, from Earth's origin to the present according to the current geological principles used. Your answer should include different techniques used and the development of those techniques over the last few centuries along with the information uncovered from those techniques

Explanation / Answer

2. Germ theory was given by Louis Pasteur which state that most of the disease are caused by microorganisms. These disease causing organisms are too small see with naked eyes, but can be seen with magnified lenses. Earlier before this theory, scientist believed the theory of spontaneous generation , according to that illness is spread from the air and disease was punishment for a person's evil behaviour. Germ theory reject the spontaneous generation theory of disease as, the micro-organism present in air is responsible for causing the disease not the air.

Louis Pasteur and Robert Koch are two main person who contributed to the field of germ theory and medicine. Louis Pasteur was the first person to bring the germ theory and Robert Koch is responsible for developing new experimental method to find out-the micro-organism responsible for causing specific disease.

In the industrialized medicine, the traditional knowledge of medicine is combined with new technology and science, to come with medicine called as industrialized medicine. For example, insulin can be made in industries that is used to low blood glucose level.

Yes, industrialization of medicine is advantageous as it bring both the advantage of traditional and science.

3. Antoine Henri Becquerel, J.J Thomson, Rutherford are associated with atom and nuclear physics.

Antoine Henri Becquerel was the first one to do the experiment on radioactivity , J.J thomson gave the model of atom arrangement and Ernest Rutherford who is also considered as a father of nuclear physics prove that atom has a tiny and heavy nucleus. His contribution is very important for understanding the complete structure of nucleus. It is a positive development as it reveal many hidden things in nuclear physics.
