These disease causing organisms are too small see with naked eyes, but can be seen with magnified lenses. Earlier before this theory, scientist believed the theory of spontaneous generation , according to that illness is spread from the air and disease was punishment for a person's evil behaviour. Germ theory reject the spontaneous generation theory of disease as, the micro-organism present in air is responsible for causing the disease not the air.
