The qualities and behavior which are most important to a leader are:
1. Communication skills: The leader should be able to communicate effectively and must be willing to transfer the knowledge among his peers whenever required.
2. Negotiation skills: Under various circumstances, the leader should be able to negotiate and get the deal done. The various models of negotiation are Ethos (Ethics based), Pathos (Emotions based) and logos (logic based).
3. Team handling: The leader should be able to handle the team of his followers who help him to get the work done.
4. Innovative ways to get the work done is another quality the leader should possess.
5. Selling skills: The leader should be able to sell his/her ideas and attract followers. Some of the world's best leaders have been world's best salespeople.
