Explanation / Answer

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical produced in the large quantities in production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. There are many ways that leads to exposure to BPA. Polycarbonate plastics have used in many daily products, like- food and Packing (eg. Water and infant bottles, medical devices, compact discs) . Epoxy resins are used for coating metal products such as- bottle top, food canes, water supply pipes. Various dental sealants and composites may also contribute to BPA exposure.

While the primary source to BPA exposure is through diet, where as the air, water and dust are also the possible sources. BPA can easily leach into food through protective covering of epoxy resins of canned food, storage containers, water bottles, baby bottles, polycarbonate tableware. The ratio to which BPA transferred into food depends on the temperature the bottle was kept, reuse of plastic container. It can even reach the breast milk.

The current position of U.S. FDA is valid on grounds of scientific terms but as per the concerns on the health it is objectionable .Currently the level of BPA is controlled but it had all possible chances to get increased. If we dont controll the exposure to BPA now it would increase day by day and as we all know small babies and young ones are more vulnerable.

The BPA in baby products is not safe because it may leads to some developmental toxicity(brain, behavioral and proatrate gland), and such harmfull effects in such a younger age can affect them seriously. No, i'll not allow baby to
