In SAP system the line item display for General ledger (G/L) account shows the entire list of the documents posted for those G/L accounts which are in selection.

In the given example in question, there are 43 items for the selection. There are multiple G/L accounts for Rent Expense for eg (G/L-751655 Rent expense165, G/L- 751675 Rent Expense167 etc) which were used for Financial posting of Journal entry. Further the screen shows there are multiple document number under different G/L accounts which were posted (for ex document number1900000019 , 1900000030 etc) which is the reason you are able to see multiple line items. So if we summarize, the multiple line items appear due to the fact that different heads(G/L accounts) being used to post several documents.
