Conduct research on the web for an editorial argument from a credible news source. The article should be clearly listed as an "editorial." For example, you may choose an article from the Bloomberg editorials or Los Angeles Times editorials.

Write a 2-3 page paper that includes:

A reference or link to the editorial website

Your premises and the conclusion to the argument, using either diagramming or the P1, P2... C structure given in the module exercises

An evaluation of the argument for its overall strength: Consider such criteria as clarity, credibility, relevance, completeness, and soundness. Based on this evaluation, do you think the argument presented is a good one? Briefly explain why or why not

Explanation / Answer

At the outset, evaluation of an article based on scientific approach. Primarily when we want evaluation of the argument and strength of an article based on clarity, credibility, relevance, completeness and soundness should be observed.

Clarity: The clarity of an argument related to the problem or issue taken by the researcher is there or not should be observed.

Credibility: The credibility means presented results by the researcher has followed scientific approach or not should be observed. That means gathered information, analysis and findings and suggestions given by the researcher related to the identified problem only.

Completeness: the Identified problem and his arguments given by the research should be complete analysis and proper directions for future researchers and for the society.

Soundness: The soundness of an article depends on his/her findings related to the identified problem only. It depends on the history of the problem, objectives taken by the researcher, analysis and presentation of his findings and suggestion should be relevant.

Based on the above parameters evaluator may be presented is a good article or not.
