You have a job at Target and earn $9.00 per hour. Your friend also works there and earns about the same as you. He is going through a very difficult divorce and is broke from lawyer bills and support payments to his wife. You see him take some merchandise off a shelf and stick it in his backpack. You suspect that he will sell this stuff online. What do you do? Do you confront your friend and force him to put back the merchandise on the shelf or do you tell your boss? Or, do you ignore the entire situation and hope that he doesn’t get caught while secretary thinking that Target makes enough money and what they lose won’t hurt them.
