D) C B) K C) B12 A) A

Explanation / Answer

Q28) Pepsinogen is a digestive enzyme secreted by which cells of stomach?

Answer- Chief cells of stomach.

Explanation :- Pepsinogen is the inactive form of enzyme pepsin , it is secreted by chief cells of stomach, than converted into pepsin the active form which helps in digestion of proteins.

Bruner's gland produce an alkaline rich mucous into duodenum and covers the wall of duodenum to protect it from acidic content of chyme, it lubricates the intestinal wall, it gives an alkaline condition to the intestinal enzymes to help in the absorption process in intestine.

goblet cells produce mucin, it helps in lubricating the walls where they are found , they are usually found in respiratory tract, G.I. tract and reproductive tract.

parietal cells secrete HCL , they are found in gastric glands present in the lining of fundus and cardia of stomach.

Q29) The duct that delivers bile and pancreatic juice from the liver and pancreas respectively, unite to form the.

Answer- D- Hepato pancreatic ampulla

Explanation- Hepatopancreatic ampulla otherwise known as ampulla of vater or hepato-pancreatic duct is formed by union of pancreatic duct and common bile duct, delivers bile and pancreatic juice.

Pancreatic-acini are the exocrine cells of pancreas helps to synthesize, store, and secrete digestive enzymes.

Portal vein is a vein which carries blood to the liver from the spleen, stomach, pancreas, and intestines.

Bile canaliculi is a thin tube, which collects bile from hepatocytes, they merge to form bile ductules and gradually become common hepatic duct.

Q30) Hepatocytes do not __________?

Answer- C- produce digestive enzymes.

Explanation:- Hepatocytes help in metabolism, storage, and detoxification of substances also produce bile. But they do not produce digestive enzymes.

Q31) Which vitamin requires intrinsic factor to be absorbed?

Answer- C- Vitamin B12.

Explanation-

Intrinsic factor is a Glycoprotein, produced by the parietal cells of stomach and helps in the absorption of Vitamin B12. Intrinsic factor protects Vitamin B12 from digestion, when it passes through the gastrointestinal tract and helps in absorption. In absence of this factor Anaemia occurs, as VitaminB12 helps in maturation of erythrocytes.

Fat-soluble vitamins (A, K,) are absorbed from dietary fats in the intestine and are stored in the liver untill it is required by the body.

Water soluble vitamins like Vitamin C if found excess in body, they are passed out cannot be stored in body, so it is required to take them daily.
