You will apply the scienbific method and m ow greenhouse gases warm the planet by covering a jar with plastic wrap. You will then relate the findings of your experiment to global warming Procedure Part 1: Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming 1 In Exercise 1, we observed that gases have different properties In this section we will further investigate gases How are greenhouse gases related to global warming? and ask the queston 2 Conduct background research on global warming from relable Internet sources such ats with cunent research on the Sopic such as UC Berkey, Yale, Stanford, elc NASA USGS,IPCC, and mujor universities Note: The most acceptable websites to use for Internet sources end in "gov or " edu. "Websites e should be avoided since recognizing biased information may be difficult Political, blogs, and news webaites often have information that is biased and not based solely on sclentiric support For this reason, these sites should also be avoided in investigating scientific toplcs nding in"com" or "org 3 Wirite a short synopsis of your indings in Panel 1 Use full sertences a and proper grammar and speling White the synopsis in your words-DO NOT copy sest directly tfrom webstes. Explanation / Answer

1. Greenhouse gases are the methane, carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, nitrous oxide and water vapor . These gases does not allow the infra red radiation emitted by earth to escape. This lead to the warming of earth which is known as green house effect.

3. a. Methane, carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, nitrous oxide and water vapor are known as green house gases. These gases does not allow the escape of infrared radiation from the earth which lead to the warming of earth known as green house gases. Changes in atmospheric condition like, melting of ice in polar region, increase ocean level are climatic changes.

b. Greenhouse effect is the one of the type of climatic change. Increase in carbon dioxide in air due to deforestation, increase industrial combustion, increase in ocean level, melting of polar ice and green house effect are the effect of climatic change. Green house effect include only warming of earth due to green house gases. It doesn't include factor like increase in ocean level.
