From the waiting room he sees that the worker is preparing to remove the right muffler. Ron says nothing, hoping that he'll get a free muffler for the right side. Discuss this situation.Explanation / Answer
30. Roberta's first letter contained the offer to sell land and this offer was open till July 1. The mail was sent on March 1. Two weeks later she sent another letter to Emily revoking her previous offer. In between, Emily didn't send any response. Emily wrote to Roberta only on June 15 accepting her offer even after she had received both letter by then.
Roberta's offer stands revoked here in this circumstance as she had revoked her offer much before its acceptance by Emily. Had Emily sent her acceptance before revokation by Roberta, the later would have been then bound by the contract to fulfil her condition and sell the land.
31. Ron did the wrong thing by not rectifying the worker's mistake as far as moral values are concerned. However he's partially right to assume that he'll get a free muffler for the right side because it was his left muffler that needed to be replaced. Once the worker replaces the right one, Ron will be asked to check who at that time will inform the in charge there that it was his left muffler that had to be removed. If his old muffler had been thrown away then the repair shop had to provide him the muffler cost free. However the shop will of course recover the money from the worker by deducting the amount from his salary.
