O True O FalseExplanation / Answer
Question 14:-
- the true statement about the malaria life cycle and transmission of the disease is option (d) the parasites enter humans through mosquito saliva.
Explanation :-
- the first statement is false because the disease agent is transmitted by female anopheles mosquito not by male mosquito.
- the second statement is false because the parasites first enter the liver cell then infect the red blood cells.
- the third statement is also false because the male and female gamates of parasite plasmodium , fuses in mosquito not in humans.
- The fourth statement is correct, as the plasmodium parasites enter the human when the mosquito takes it's blood meal. The parasites are present in the saliva of the mosquito and enter during mosquito bites.
Question 15:-
There are five known species of plasmodium.
They are 1- p.falciparum , p.vivax, p.malarae, p.ovale, p.knowlesi.
Among these species p.falciparum causes 75% of the cases, 20% of cases are due to p.vivax and and rest are caused by other species of plasmodium.
So i think the statement is false. Because more than 90 percent are caused by falciparum and vivax only and not by all species.
Hopefully it helps if problems arises plz comment thanks.
