Question

In calculus, does vectors that are in the same direction means that they are parallel? And vice versa? So when a problem asks if the vectors are in the same direction or not, I can just find out if they are parallel or not right? Or is there something else I need to do? Can a vector be in the same direction but not parallel to each other? In calculus, does vectors that are in the same direction means that they are parallel? And vice versa? Explanation / Answer

Vectors in same direction can be considered as parallel vectors but if two vectors are in opposite direction then also they are considered as parallel vectors .

It means if two vectors are parallel ( they are in same direction) and if u rotate one of the vectors by180 degrees then also the two vectors are considered as parallel vectors .

No, if the vectors are in the same direction they have to be parallel to each other
