Explanation / Answer
a) As per National Geographic water footprint calculator mine consumption is 115 gallons per day.
b) If I'll be keeping track of my water use for five days and then will average that value then I'll get around 130 gallons per day consumption.
c) The difference is beacuse of various parameters which are not mentioned in National Geographic water footprint calculator for example various face and hand wash that I do in a day. This value of the difference between National Geographic water footprint and manaul tracking can vary from person to person as it depends on various specific task that one perform in a day.
d) First of all the basic think that all of us can implement to control the water usage is to check the leakage of all toilets' and kitchen's faucets and pipes, apart from this we can buy toilet tanks of low capacity or can put some conatiner inside conventional toilet tanks to reduce its capacity, only opt for dishwasher and clothes washer when we have full loads of dishes and clothes respectively. These are some of the methods which we can do to conserve water.
