Here is the question

Discuss why ethnoarchaeology is so important in helping us understand different cultures.

and here are the answers

1-"Ethnoarchaeology is very important for many reasons. the book says that  ethnoarchaeology is, " the study of contemporary peoples to determine how human is translated into the archaeological record," (Kelly, Thomas 163) Archaeologists look at present day and compare it to past to learn about how it changed or stayed the same. They look at what things are made of or how they could have been used to piece together how societies were in the past. We can see a a lot of how cultures have changed over time or how different cultures share traits."

2-"Ethnoarchaeology is important in understanding different cultures as it enables present cultures to be compared with the ones being studied. By using archaeological methods, human cultural interactions of historic cultures can be studied. From there the information can be used and compared with how the societies of today operate. For example, we can compare the methods of how the Mayan Empire and present day Boston dispose of their waste. When comparing the two, both similarities and differences often arise and potential new disposal methods may be discovered. In essence, Ethnoarchaeology teaches us specific things about the past cultures of civilizations, allowing humans to interpret this information and apply it to situations in present day societies"

3-"Ethnoarchaeology is really unique and thus offers an otherwise difficult to gain insight into past peoples.

Ethnoarchaeology is the study of tangible evidence as well as past traditions, connecting that to present day societies. This helps archaeologists further understand and explain past societies and infer further details based on present day societies and practices/as well as assume evolution of cultures."

Explanation / Answer

I like this answer because it has a unique and interesting topic that how human is translated into the archaeological record. These data can be used to connect the gaps in history and can add pride to a nation and revive lot of culture and old traditions that are long forgotten to be used in current lifestyle.

I like this answer because of the data presented in it. Ento archaeology is useful in learning and connecting past cultures so that the practices which were good to humans can be implemented in the modern days. The best point is the human values that we get which we can apply and follow in our lives.

I agree with the points in this answer because of the study that helps in forgotten history which stops us and look after the short span of human life. With the growing technology, the world is going is faster than the past times. This study is useful to stop by and see which will be proper for human life and other living beings in this world.
