Let the quantity of rose oil = x
the quantity of fermented prunes = y
the quantity of alcohol = z
Now it is give that,
x+y+z = 26 (size of the bottle)-------(1)
z-y = 6 ------------(2)
z = x+y----(3)
from eqn (2) and (3)
we get,
x+y-y = 6
x = rose oil = 6 ounces
from eqn (1) and (3),
we get,
z+z = 26
z= alcohol = 13 ounce
Putting the values of x and z in eqn (3) we get
13 = 6+y
y = 7 ounces
rose oil =6 ounces
fermented prunes = 7 ounces
alcohol = 13 ounces
