Given x^2 + y^2 + z^2 = 9
=> Differentiating both side w.r.t time
=> 2 x dx / dt + 2 y dy/dt + 2 z dz/dt = 0
Now using the (x,y,z) = (2,1,2)
=> 4 x 6 + 2 x 1 x 7 + 4 x dz/dt = 0
=> 24 + 14 + 4 x dz/dt = 0
=> dz/dt = -9.5
