Use the weather map below to answer questions with explination please
The map is an upper-air, constant pressure chart (as discussed in class and in the book). The wind barbs are drawn to represent knots.
1-What do the solid black lines on the chart represent?explain
a-Lines of equal wind speed (in m/s)
b- lines of equal height (in m)
c-lines of equal temperature (in C)
d-lines of equal pressure (in mb)
2_Based on the values of the black lines, what pressure level does this chart depict?explain
a-Surface Pressure
b-500 mb
c-250 mb
d-700mb
What is the speed and direction of the maximum wind depicted on this map?explain
a-35 knots out of the north
b-50 knots out of the west
c-65 knots out of the north
d-65 knots out of the south
e-35 knots out of the south

lines of equal pressure (in mb). Rather than plotting conditions at a constant altitude above the ground, meterologists measure and plot conditions at a particular reference pressure level above the ground.
500 mb chart. The 500 mb chart represents weather conditions in the mid- troposphere, at a level where approximately half the mass of the atmosphere lies below this level. This level is at an altitude of approximately 5,500 meters.
65 knots to the North. This is because the maximum speed of the wind in this graph is depicted by line pointing towards North and has a Solid triangle and two lines, one is full and one is half. The Triangle gives the speed is around 50 knots and the two lines in total represents 15 knots. Thus a total of 65 knots.
