I am adopting a YES position.

1. Reason 1- Exploration and adventure. Humans have always been driven by a passion for exploration. From the highest mountains to the deepest trenches, from outer space to the moon, our innate drive to explore newer frontiers have always fueled the drive to the next bigger prize.After our landing on the moon, Mars is the next obvious place for humans to explore.

2. Reason 2- Scientific curiosity and development. A project like the manned mission to Mars requires a large amount of newer scientific and engineering developments. The sheer scale of the project will drive the advancement of better fuel systems, human health and nutrition, material sciences, instrumentation, and engineering. These new technological advancements are always beneficial to the everyday human life.

3. Reason 3- A new home for humanity. We are all living in a fragile environment, overburdened by the population growth and threatened by large possibilities of cosmic accidents and Earth is our only home. This fact makes us push forward our dream of landing humans on the Mars and soon in the future to possibly terraform it and make it our second home. Among all the possible options available to humans right now Mars is the most feasible both in terms of our technological advancements to live there and also in terms of the conditions present at Mars
