What other tax revenue systems could you consider? How do you think they would be better or worse?
Many people like the mortgage tax and charitable contributions because they are able to write these off at tax time. I also agree that I am not in favor of the flat tax because the tax is on everyone and even if you don't use something it seems that you will have to pay the tax. If the flat tax is high many people would not be in favor for this, but when the tax is started it may be low but will not stay that way.
