Since intensity of solar radiation depends on distance.As the distance from sun changes due to elliptical nature of orbit,earth gets different amount of heat and light over the year.

2.axial tilt -difference in summer and winter solar heating

Axial tilt is 23.5o of the earth axis. When the tilt will be more seasonal effect will be more extreme.
