Solution . The answer to the question " why we can't use chi-square test" is. D. With such small sample size, there is no way for all expected counts to be at least 5.
Because if we try to do chi square test we will have 4*2 contingency table with (4-1)*(2-1) = 3 degree of freedom . Now expected frequency the column sum is always 10 for both which is carried at 4 places all those 4 values in both column can never be greater than 5 if in case we do pooling we cannot make tow 5 in each column .
