A Make a scatterplot that shows how national wine consumptionhelps explain heart disease death rates.

B Describe the form of the relationship. Is there a linearpattern? How strong is the relationship?

C Is the direction of the association positive or negation. Doyou think these data give good evidence that drinking wine causes areduction in heart disease deaths? (Why?)

Explanation / Answer

For some reason, I can't get the picture of the graph toupload, however, I do have the information that you need: The graph is linear, you can see that if you enter all thedata into the scatter plot function in you STAT and EDIT section onyour calculator The relationship is linear, and the relationship has acorrelation of -0.843 The direction of this assocation is negative. And no,because the higher the amount of alcohol in the wine, the higherthe amount of heart disease deaths.
