Explanation / Answer

There is a positive correlation between teacher attire and studentacademic performance. This means that teachers who dressbetter tend to have better performing classrooms. The error in the researcher's judgment is assuming that thiscorrelation applies causation. That is, the researcherassumes that simply because teacher's dress better, the studentswill perform better. This makes little sense and is likelynot the case. More likely, those teachers who teach atprivate schools or wealthy schools have stricter dress codes. The students at those schools are already likely to performbetter. The dress of the teachers has little to do withthis. I therefore disagree with the conclusion.
