Zone of ablation refers to low latitude area of a glacier or ice sheet below firm with net loss in ice sheet due to melting , sublimation, evaporatin , ice calving , aeolian processes called ablation zone. Which can be seen at the snow sloping areas where U shaped valley is forming .in the river from upstream bring melting towards downstram ablation occur.
