However, this abundance is largely due to advances in agricultural technologies, which have in turn created numerous concerns surrounding our food sources. Provide at least two recent (since the Green Revolution ended) examples of how the United States has increased its food production, and discuss how these changes have affected both the environment and food safety. Food is one of the three basic needs of life and is important for the survival of people. Agriculture came up as one of the most popular means of food production and has persisted through the ages. In fact, it was the foundation of the early civilizations. The agricultural revolution that swept through Europe and the United States of America in the eighteenth century initialized the modernization of food production. The technological advances in the agricultural sector led to improvements that contributed to the production of ample quantities of high-quality food that were able to support the populations. Some of these newly adopted methods had adverse impacts on the environment. Presently, agriculture is still the foundation of the other sectors of the economy.
The modern means of agriculture applied in the US rely heavily on the application of scientific principles. Following the American agricultural revolution, the farmers adopted industrial agriculture which is being used to date by most of them. This practice involves the intensive cultivation of crops on a large scale. This method of farming demands the extensive use of farm chemicals including pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Alternatively, the United States has taken great strides in the planting of genetically modified crops. New technologies entered using GPS and making their production at the pinnacle.Though modern harvesters and planters may do a better job than their predecessors, the combine of today cuts, threshes, and separates grain in essentially the same way and even better than the earlier versions had done. Machines like computer monitoring systems, GPS locators, and self-steer programs allow the most advanced tractors and implements to be more precise and less wasteful in the use of fuel, seed, or fertilizer. In the foreseeable future, some agricultural machines may be made capable of driving themselves, using GPS maps and electronic sensors. Even more esoteric are the new areas of nanotechnology and genetic engineering, where submicroscopic devices and biological processes, respectively, may be used to perform agricultural tasks in unusual new ways. it has also limitations and negative impacts on the human being like in quest of high production we are rely on the machinaries and avoiding workmen.
