The mode could be more than one but the median can only be one. In case of odd number of values, the median is the middle value of the list of values and in case of even number of values, the median is computed as the average of the middle two values.

Median can be computed for only that distribution which could be arranged in the ascending order, and therefore the data should be at least at the ordinal level ( it cannot be nominal order ).
Therefore C) is the correct answer here.
