Question
If you have a score of X = 80 on an exam, which set of parameterswould give you the highest position in the class?Mean 60, SD 20
Mean 70, SD 5
Mean 60, SD 15
Mean 70, SD 15
I've ruled out the bottom option because the score would be betweenthe mean and the SD.
For the top option, the score would be at the top of the SD
For the 2nd option the score would be 5 points above the upperlimit of the SD
For the 3rd option, the score would also be five points above theupper limit of the SD, however, the mean is lower.
I am between the first and the third options. Any advicewould be helpful. Thanks!
