Question
I have a problem for homework and it has two sets of matched pairs data. One set has A and B and the other has A and B. I am asked to find out if there is a difference between A and B and to find a confidence interval for the data. I know how to do hypothesis testing and how to find the confidence interval. I also know how to find the difference betwee the two data sets. Ex. (L1-L2) My book does not tell me what to do with the differences of two sets of data. Do I add up the differences? I tried doing that and I got really close to the anwer for the hypothesis testing. I am doing something wrong but I don't know what since my book does not tell me how to do this. Does anybody know what I am supposed to do with the 2 sets of differences?Explanation / Answer
I understand it now by looking at the answer key book. The book should have told me to combine the A's and B's into two data sets but no it sucks.
