Typically these reports document wetland conditions and provide baseline data for management activities, or future changes which may occur in the watershed. Please read the outline below, select a wetland site near your home which is accessible, and write a 2-3 page wetland field report containing the following information. Describe location of the wetland (provide location map graphic)
Describe surrounding land uses and any particular history of land use alteration that may assist reader in understanding your wetlands’ character.
Describe hydrologic setting for the wetland using the hydrogeomorphic classification system. (i.e. “the subject wetland is a riverine wetland with unidirectional flows.”)

The primary factors that distinguished wetlands from the other form of lands and water bodies is the characteristics of the vegetation and the aquatic creatures adopted in this unique soil land. As the name suggested that the wetland is a type of land which is always covered with the water bodies and water sources. According to the duration of the flooding system here we can estimate and determine the type of vegetation will be developed.
