Question

please answer both in detail/full response:

1. earth and venus are so similar in size and overall compostion that they are almost twins. why did these two planets evolve so differently? why is earth's atmospehre rich in oxygen and poor in carbon dioxide, whereas the reverse is true on venus? what would happen to earth's oceans if earth were a little bit closer to the sun?

2. one popular criticisim of the theory of evolution by natural selection was the paucity of transiitonal form. however, archaeopteryx wa such an organism. in what way did it resmble its dinosaur predecessors? in what way was it like or unlike modern birds?

Explanation / Answer

The reason for the difference of Earth and Venus even though they are similar in size yet they evolved so differently is because of the proximity to the sun.

Our Earth is at far distance from the sun.If earth was any closer to the sun, all the oceans on earth would dry up.Without water, there would be no plants. But it is creation of God to help us and our Earth is at a distance and there is no problem for water. If water is sufficient plants grow well. With plants we get oxygen in a good amount than carbondioxide. So earth's atmospehre rich in oxygen and poor in carbon dioxide.

Venus is too close to the sun, so it can't support water in its liquid form because it's too hot. Without water, there are no plants. Thus carbon dioxide is never converted to oxygen, and the composition of the atmosphere on Venus reflects that.
