For the following scenarios, explain which you would rather use, a long wavelength or a short wavelength signal. Give two reasons for choosing that wavelength signal in that scenario.
a) Wireless keyboard: The wireless keyboard quickly transmits keyboard data to a computer located about a foot away from the keyboard.
b) Transmission of weather forecast information: the National Weather service coninuously transmits local weather and forecats to location within 100-150 miles of the antenna.Signal reception should be reliable.

1)Wireless keyboard : I would prefer short wavelength signal.
Reasons :
a) In wireless short-wavelength UHF radio waves should be used because radio waves are relatively least harmful to our health than others.
b) Shortwave radio travels much farther than broadcast FM (88-108 MHz)
2) Transmission of weather forecast information : I would prefer long wavelength signal
Reason:
a) Long wavelength signal are much better able to detect precipitation at much greater distances and are able to distinguish smaller atmospheric features throughout the sampled atmosphere.
b)Since,the transmission distance is very large, long wavelength signal can better sustain against distortion and noise in atmosphere.
