I asked if majority rule (where people vote and those votes translate into policy outcomes) was capable of dealing with current environmental problems. Now we come full circle. Given what you know about the political system, our attempts (both successes and failures) to adopt policy that solve environmental problems, and current/future environmental problems, can our system adequately respond to these challenges? If so, how and what evidence do you have to support this conclusion? If not, then what systemic changes would you recommend?

A political system is a system of politics and government. It is usually compared to the legal system, economic system, cultural system, and other social systems.

We adopted Ramsar convention,convention on biological diversity(CBD),Montreal protocol,which help in tackling environmental problem.

Paris climate agreement which is seen as a big success but due to withdrawl of US,it came as failure to the parties as US is one of the largest green house gas emitters,The adoption of the Kyoto Protocol was hardly lauded as a panacea to the global climate problem, either at its inception or later.

We face problem of loss of biodiversity,climate change,pollution,deforestation,soil erosion and degradation;

our system respond to to these challenges,as we adopted Sendai framework for disaster risk reduction,paris climate agreement,we also adopted UNFCCC for fighting various climate change problems. We also included environment problem in Millenium development goal and various developed countries came forward to help the developing countries to reduce their emission and help them achieve there targets.
