could anyone explain this paragraph in an easier way or just rephrase in to easier understandable english please. i didnt get the idea of mentioning that there are constraints that prevent RE from occuring with the example of abu dhabi note: RE : renewable energy A variety of constraints or conditions prevent RE investments from occurring. These constraints put renewable at an economic, regulatory or institutional disadvantage relative to other forms of energy supply in the region . As example, Abu Dhabi, one of the world's largest producers of oil has actively attempted to diversify its energy economy in recent years through local and international RE investments as many other countries in the gulf region [21]. The aim is to use all available conventional and non-conventional energy resources for electricity generation for longer term period. The ultimate objective of UAE's policy is to maximize use of indigenous energy resources and minimize energy subsidies [22]. The goal of this paper is to provide an overview of energy balance compared to sustainable energy in UAE.

Explanation / Answer

In the above passage; we are talking about two type of energy sources i.e renewables(non-conventional) and nonrenewables( conventional energy source). The example of UAE is given to understand the energy balance.

There are various constraints to the renewal energy. One such is discussed in the passage as Availability of Fossil fuels. The sustainable combination of available fossil fuels and renewal energy source os the future of world and this is why UAE is making efforts for that. Another reason why UAE adopts it is that it is a oil dependent country luke other gulf nations and so it is not economically beneficial for them to switch over to renewal suddenly.
