Explanation / Answer
yANS1) the word LCA means( life cycle analysis ) this is a method to assess the environmental impacts in all steps of aproduct from raw material extraction to recycling of the product i.e from material processing, manufacturing distribution, consumption , repair & maintenance ,disposal & recycling if required.LCA studies have future oriented features i.g to invistigate& improve the enviorment performance from the exsiting product & now have aclear future oriented scope.
ANS2) The four main elements of LCA are : a)goal & scope b) inventory analysis c) impact assessment. d) interpetation. for this ISO standards are also provided for eg ISO 14040, ISO14044.
ANS4)The largest resevoirs of carbon are found indeep - oceansapprox 35000 billion tons. where as 65,500 billions tons on the earth.carbon moves slowly from series of chemical reactions & tectonic activity & fast carbon cycle moves through life forms on earth,LOWEST are found in the southern Atlantic deep water sediments.
ANS6) Ecological foot print measures the demand & suply of te nature .it prepare the data & results globally compareable ,it is measured as global hectares.
ANS7)the resource consumption i.e water ,oil, electricity are the factors which contribute to ecological foot print size 'Also population density effects the size of the average ecological foot print.
ANS9) if there is a fluction in pH & acidity the( co2 dissolved in seawater ) the shells of some marine animals start dissolving & also plants start deying,
ANS10) in past thee decade one third of the planet natural resources have been consumed.
ANS)11) population of US consumes various articles fossil fuel approx 24%,25% coal,26% oil, 27% natural gas.
ANS12) pollination factor ,ie bees fly from one plant to another, spread pollens of plants, from which seeds are able to reproduce to form plants helping the mankind.
ANS13) the bes are disappearing because of enviormental pollutions ,deforestation, use of pestisides for farming.
ANS 8) booms & portable vaccums pumps are used toclean oil effected area from deepwater horizon.even bacteria are used for cleaning & saving marine animals.
