Cost of fecning material : C(x) = 1000 + 27x

Cost of installing fence : R(x) = 38x

Breakeven : C(x) = R(x) and solve for x:

1000 + 27x = 38x

11x = 1000 ; x = 90.9 = 91 sections

4) Area = 150 sq ft

length = 20 + width

Let width be x

So, length = 20+x

Ares = x(20 +x) = 150

x^2 + 20 x -150 =0   Solve quadratic

x= 5.81 , -25.81 .Neglect -ve root

So, width x = 5.81 ; length = 25.81
