Be sure to do all of the following: give a key (define your variables) write a system of equations. solve the system by substitution or elimination, no guess and check. check your answers state your answer in a complete sentenceExplanation / Answer
Let x represent the no of children , y represent no of adults
then x+y= 22000 -----(1)
total cost is : 15x + 40y = 633975 ----(2)
eq (1) x 15 : 15x + 15y = 330000 ---(3)
eq (2) - eqn (3) => 25y = 303975 or y = 303975/25 = 12159 adults
and 22000 - 12155 = 9841 children
