1.1. Meteorites have dark crust because of the friction with the atmosphere while falling at higher speeds. Outer part of the meteorite gets heated a lot and the conduction of heat from the outer to inner surface is slower in rocks, therefore the inner surface is brighter and the outer surface is darker and in the friction process, iron forms as a layer in the meteorite and hence it is darker. 1.2. Regmaglypts are small impressions on the meteorites which are formed by force due to friction from falling so that a part of meteorite evaporates or removed from the metorite. Regmaglypts are like thumb impression. 1.3. Stony meteorites are most common meteorites to hit earth. 1.4. Shergotite is a stoe type meteorite which it comes from Mars.
