1. Since STIs have such significant negative health consequences, should there be legal consequences for spreading an STI? Should you be able to "sue" someone who flagrantly spreads an STI? Why or why not?

2. Why do you think most college students have heard about the risks associated about STIs and HIV infections, yet they remain fairly apathetic, and according a recent college health survey fail to consistently use condoms, and in general act irresponsibly?

You will need to investigate if such lawsuits have occurred and under what circumstances individuals were charged. Do you agree with these laws and circumstances? You will need to determine if Massachusetts has prosecuted anyone or if there are laws on the books to bring charges against someone who intentionally versus unintentionally spreads an STI.

Explanation / Answer

1)

Spreading of a disease by a person intentionally or unintentionally cannot regulate by any lawful actions and it does not come under a crime. If a person has an STI (sexually transmitted infection), before he knows that he has an STI, he could have transmit it to several healthy people. So, it was done in an unintentional way. Therefore, one cannot judge and sue someone who flagrantly spreads an STI.

If a student or a person had sex without condom, however they know the consequences of unhealthy sex. This is because lack condoms at the time of sex or it may be an unplanned sex and usually, people we may perhaps not repel erotic situations.

3)

I will not agree with the law suits against STI. As a biology student we know about the STI. According, people’s physiology reports most of the people cannot intentionally harm others.
