There is a lot of debate about different measures of journal quality but one is the Normalized Eigenfactor. As you likely know there are many rankings of universities. Several are published by a publication called Times Higher Education (THE), On Moodle, you will find a file containing information on papers presented at 2010-2011 economics conferences which were published in journals that have Normalized Eigenfactors (not all journals have Eigenfactors). It also contains information on the mean Citation Score of the author's universities is based on the 2015 THE rankings (mean, because different coauthors may be from different universities). Your job is to use Excel to run a regression to test the hypothesis that there is a relationship between the quality of the universities authors are from and the quality of journal they publish in (ie, university rank causes Normalized Eigenfactor).
