The point estimate of the population mean is (to 2 decimals) b. The standard deviation is (to 2 decimals) c. The margin of error is (to 1 decimal) dThe 95% confidence interval is (to 1 decimal) to Back 0 ere to search

Explanation / Answer

a) The point estimate of Population Mean is Sample Mean

Sample Mean = (3+10+....+15+15)/8 = 11.87

b) Sample Variance = { (3-11.87)^2 + (10-11.87)^2 + ...... + (15-11.87)^2 + (15-11.87)^2 }/ (8-1) = 4.97^2

Sample Standard Deviation = 4.97

d) 95% CI = Sample Statistic +- Margin of Error

At 95% CI, Z = 1.96

CI = 11.87 -+ 1.96*4.97/sqrt(8)

= 11.87 -+ 3.44

= {8.43, 15.31 }

c) Margin of Error = 3.44

Hope this helps and Please don't forget to rate the answer :)
