Compute SD(mean) for mean by using SD(mean)=SD(X)/sqrt(n=1999)=8.12/1999=0.004062

compute quartiles and percentiles using following Excel commands

=NORMINV(0.25,272.2,0.004062)

=NORMINV(0.5,272.2,0.004062)

=NORMINV(0.75,272.2,0.004062)

=NORMINV(0.95,272.2,0.004062)

It can be seen that tee shot distances is well gathered along mean tee shot distance.

also 50% observation are below 272.2. 3rd quartile and 95th percentile is approximately equal.
