Questtion: List the hypotheses; then, underline and label the corresponding independent/dependent variables or predictor/criterion variables. Are there any covariates? If so, name them.

I am having problems identifying the independent/dependent variable or predictor criterion variables and covariates in this example.

Here is my answer so far.

The hypotheses for this study are: Are there mean differences in school climate, as measuredby classroom community and school community, and student perceptsion of learning associated with differences in course delivery method and student status?

Explanation / Answer

School climate is dependent variable because it is measured ( or controled) by the two different groups

( criterion ) as one is classroom community and the other is school community.

Also student perceptsion of learning is a dependent variable because it is controled by the two criterion

variable as course delivery method and student status.
