All your answers are correct except h. The number of ciggerates smoked in an hour. This is not a continuous variable, because it takes discrete values such as , 0,1,2,... and can't take values like 0.5 or 1.2 . Moreover it can be put in an order , either increasing or decreasing. So it is an ordinal variable.

2. A population is huge and exhaustive . Whereas sample is a portion or subset of the population.

Here in b ,the data is given as "43% of the AMERICANs" which is in this case exhaustive. SO, clearly it is the population. If it was like "

In a, it is 36 out of 100 students. 100 students is definitely not the population. it's a sample which might be estimating the thoughts of all "Students" as a general. Thus statistic.
