You must Assume A is a lie, b/c if its true then C & D didn'tdo it and since C states they didn't do it, that statement wouldhave to be true, and since they stay not C and it was E, D alsoblames E so there would be to many true statements, BUT if youdecide then A is lying then, and then try if B is true. A: Not C and Not D FALSE so, it is either C or D B: Not B and Not D. TRUE E: Not C Must be FALSE due to A, there fore it is C. Also, if you continue C: Not C and it was E : FALSE because it can't be E due tostatement A. D: A or E did it : FALSE due to statement A which was proved FALSEearlier. so you get, A: FALSE B: TRUE C: FALSE D: FALSE E:TURE And it thus makes C responsible.
