X+60 will be the number of cases of Ruffles. The total dollar amount of Tostitos would be 7.50X and ofRuffles 7.00(X+60) Your equation is: 7.50X+7.00(X+60)=2160.00                             14.50X+420=2160                              14.50X=1740                               X=120 So there were 120 cases of Tostitos and 180 of Ruffles. Check it: 7.50x120 +7.00x180 = 900+1260=2160
