x1 + x2 + 2x3 = 5 2x2 - x3 = 3x1
Substitute x3 = s
We have x1 + x2 +  2s = 5 ----------------------------> Equation 1 2x2 - s = 3x1 -----------------------------------------------> Equation2
Multiply 2 to Equation1 and subtract to get the value ofx1 Similarly Solve for x2
x1 = 2 - s x2 = 3 - s x3 = s
