Question
Case Study 2: Sara and CindySara and Cindy are 9 year old girls who are best friends. They do everything together and especially enjoy riding their bikes to the neighborhood park. Today they planned a picnic in the park. After packing up their supplies, they hopped on their identical pink banana seat bikes. After riding about a quarter mile, Sara started to feel weak and lagged behind Cindy. As they rode up a slight hill, Sara complained “My leg muscles feel like they are burning. Do yours?”. Cindy replied “No” and slowed down a bit so Sara could catch up. As the two girls arrived at their picnic site, Cindy was breathing normally, while Sara was breathing heavily. Sara complained of muscle aching in her legs for several minutes until it eventually subsided. Her breathing rate also returned to normal after several minutes.
