At noon a private plane left Austin for LA, 2100 km away, flying at 500 km/h. One hour later a jet left LA for Austin at 700 km/h. At what time did they pass each other? 500t + 700(r-1) = 2100 500t + 700t -700 = 2100 500t + 700t = 2800 1200t = 2800 t = ?! Please help! I've tried to do this problem over and over again and can't figure out where my stupid duh mistake is.
