Explanation / Answer

This is an easy question, the time is irrelevent. You start with 1000 shares at $43 9/16 and I assume it decreases by $2 3/16. First, find out how much your beginning with by multplying 1000 by 43 9/16. What you want to do is subtract the start by the change to get the vaule now multply that by 1000 to get how much its worth. Then subtract the amount it was worth when you started by the amount worth now to get how much you lost.
